meh

imo, the snare in the intro doesn't work. resonant kicks are fine by me, i know that's a matter of taste. make sure you cover the high-tones with your synths, otherwise you'll always get a flat-sounding mix. watch the resonance/compression relation after about 1:37. melody is really enjoyable, good job on that! :D melody in the intro was especially good with the 2 dreamy notes. watch resonance again around 2:49 i think. good glitchy percussion around 3:10 onward.

i'm sorry but that buildup around 3:26 with the HP on the kicks left the bass tones sounding stupid. nice & chill beat around 4:17 + good entertaining FX around 4:21.

good transition at 4:50, works well! the rest was actually pretty enjoyable, up until around 5:55. at that point, it started to sound like you were running out of ideas. ending vocal was poorly EQ'd in my opinion.

you obviously know what you're doing, keep it up.

hopeku responds:

I dont know what you mean : "make sure you cover the high-tones with your synths"

And I'm not sure about that : "resonance/compression relation after about 1:37"

But for the rest I'll check that out for sure. Thanks for being constructive this is really appreciated!

GUYS THIS SONG IS MEANT TO BE A JOKE

come on, take a hint.

btw, CnB, please send me a PM, i wanna talk to you about some stuff

recommendations

don't go so heavy on the melody around :59. you pulled off the intro just fine, in my opinion

the kick is soaking up the bass almost 100%. brighten up your bassline, resonance or cutoff.

good ideas though

good job on this.

you nailed the lead.

not my taste, but still good enough....

....to download

Prodigal responds:

Hahaha, thanks. I'm trying to get the 20 review mark on this one :D

alright buddy.

buckle up, i think we should do a collab. for real. you're just that little bit better than other artists on here. i can tell...

a collab would be fun. send me a PM if you're interested!

btw, the song is good. i can hear good mastering here :D

Prodigal responds:

Hey there. I would LOVE to collab on this. I'll send you that PM right away :D

Also, I didn't master yet, so yeah :D (I guess it's just good EQing)

eehhh..........

using FL love philter a ton does not make your song good.

sorry but i don't know why this got on the top 5. the leads fly off randomly like an improv and there's no real song structure. it's just random saw leads and weird FX all the way

3/5

you did something weird

but i like it. you see, without the kick in the song, it would sound totally spacy.

the kick acts like gravity, always reminding you that this ain't no themesong.

:D 5'd

having fun

having fun messing with time stretching in the intro, hmm?

classic FL-style noise here

good ideas.

decent work on leads/melody. bassline is spicy, sounds a bit electro to me.

kick is good, many people mess up kicks. :)

bassline again...sounds like a resonant attack bass. piano energy needs to be upped a bit to compete with it. try uncompressing the piano and just EQing. enhance the stereo on the bassline as well, and EQ that too. very interesting feel though! you did well on that. sounds unique.

message me man! we'll talk. you obviously know what you're doing xD

Prodigal responds:

Hehe, this song is about 2 months old and i'm not really going to look back on it so yeah... :P Check out my Distorted Reality remix and such xD I EQed basically EVERYTHING in this song to ensure top quality, but I guess I failed on some levels.

By the way, I obviously know what i'n doing for a 13 year old :D

good fx.

fx are very well-mastered/placed.

i won't comment on the rest, but...this could be good.

work with the melody a little bit, figure out how to fill the spectrum with things other than melody. very interesting progression. fix your buildup snare a bit too.

I has Recon armer.
